Acknowledgements I wish to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to all the people and participants who have assisted me during my PhD project. I am sincerely grateful to my principal supervisor Troels Staehelin Jensen for giving me the opportunity to work on this thesis at the Danish Pain Research Center and for his exceptional supervision. Specific neck training induces sustained corticomotor hyperexcitability as assessed by motor evoked potentials.
